EBZ was founded in Dresden, Germany in 1999. EBZ is developing new modular power supply systems on the basis of planar high temperature fuel cells (SOFC), cooperating with the leading research institutes and companies in this sector.

Technology
The fascinating technology of fuel cells combines best efficiencies with lowest emissions. Quiet and without loss causing thermal and mechanical transformation steps, they directly convert fuel enthalpy into electrical energy. EBZ has identified the high temperature fuel cell type SOFC being the most promising technology. SOFC can consume today’s available fuels like natural gas, biogas and diesel, provide heat on a high temperature level that’s suitable for combined processes, and show the highest potential for a cost effective future mass production.
